Change Management

Course description

This course helps your team take the chance out of change! Every day, new initiatives and projects are launched to improve performance, increase profits and enhance competitive advantage. This course focuses on not only delivering a specific change initiative relevant to your workplace but also on learning a solid approach to driving adoption and usage, so that change initiatives deliver the expected results and outcomes. This course includes two seminars, the first to address the e-learning content as a group, and the second to apply the learning to real-life scenarios as a practicum.

  • Identify the five types of change.

  • Learn how to use the Prosci ADKAR model to implement successful change.

  • Learn how to deliver the people-dependent portion of project ROI.

  • Learn strategies for closing the gap between requirements and results.

  • Find out how to make change meaningful and enduring.

  • Build your own team’s cohesion.

Target audience: The course is designed for established teams that are managed by one or two leaders, who will also participate in the program. The practicum work in the course will apply action learning principles and incorporate some elements of the initiative or project that your team is currently responsible for implementing.

Course format

  • One week to independently complete 30 to 60 minutes of e-learning

  • Two 90-minute facilitated online sessions

  • Small classes (10–12 trainees)

Register and complete your course by March 15, 2023 and your course fee will be $0.

 

Employees— Share with your employer that you are taking the course! Send the link to your employer by email to discuss it with them.

E-learning duration:

1 week

Participants will receive e-learning credentials one week prior to selected session date.

Registering with COAST only takes a few simple steps.  

  1. Fill out the sign-up form. 

  2. You will receive a verification email with a link. Click on the link to access your account. 

  3. Go to the main dashboard and find the Ministry form. 

  4. Download it, fill it out, save it, and upload the saved and completed form in the Upload tab. 

  5. You will receive a confirmation email that it has been accepted (this may take up to two business days). Once that is done you may enrol in the courses of your choosing. 

  6. To enrol, select the Catalog tile on the dashboard and choose your course dates and times.

Returning students

Go to oac.myabsorb.com and log in with your credentials. Check the Catalog tile on the main dashboard to find this course. Select it and click Enrol.

Employers— Enhance and upgrade employee skills. Recognize and foster employee development. Enrol your company with COAST! Your company may register employees on any of the courses offered at no charge – as long as courses are completed by March 15, 2023.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is not considered complete unless OAC receives the completed Ministry participation form.

The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) requires you to complete their PDF Participant Form prior to entering the training program. This information is for reporting purposes only, is anonymized prior to reporting and will be held in confidence.
