ERP Integrated Advanced Manufacturing Micro-credential Certification
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) plays a key role in aerospace industry systems, and knowledgeable employees are considered valuable assets in large and small companies alike. That’s why Centennial College and Downsview Aerospace Innovation and Research (DAIR), in partnership with the Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC) and the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, is offering the ERP Integrated Advanced Manufacturing Micro-credential Certification.
Learners will complete a common ERP Essentials module. Students will then gain specialized training and advanced manufacturing ERP functionality in one of three streams offered in Level 2: manufacturing and production, automation and Industry 4.0, or quality control and assurance. An optional level-3 program is available for selected streams through Centennial College. Please contact the College for further information.
This program also incorporates two Aerospace Career Essentials courses: Ontario Aerospace: Our Heritage, Our Sector and Future-Proofing Your Career and Blue Skies Ahead.
Level 1: ERP Essentials
Students will acquire the necessary skills to understand ERP requirements and functionality within the aircraft parts manufacturing and aircraft assembly processes. Key components of the ERP operating system are procurement, work order preparation and implementation, serialization of components, traceability and quality control.
Level 2 Stream A: ERP Integrated Advanced Manufacturing and Production
Receive training on state-of-the-art CNC programming, machining, commercial 3D printing operations, assembly techniques, interpretation of work orders, blueprints, and the principles of additive manufacturing, which is integrated with SAP functionality. This stream provides a solid understanding of advanced manufacturing processes and principles used in the aerospace industry today.
Level 2 Stream B: ERP Integrated Automation and Industry 4.0
Receive training in basic PLC programming, robotic operation, and assembly techniques. This stream provides a fundamental overview of automation and industry 4.0 processes and principles. This micro- credential will provide upgrading skills and a fundamental overview of Automation and Industry 4.0 processes and principles in emerging technologies.
Level 2 Stream C: ERP Integrated Quality Control and Assurance
In this stream you will learn how to use a variety of measuring tools, including CMM operations (metrology), and how to conduct quality checks on manufactured products, including audits and the use of ERP in these roles.
Target audience: Industry newcomers and those wishing to learn ERP.
Ten hours per week, during evenings and weekends, for a minimum of 12 weeks. A combined 120 hours of ERP Essentials for Advanced Manufacturing + ERP Integration will constitute completion of the micro-credential and provide trainees with a Centennial certificate of completion and an industry digital badge.
This pilot program provides both classroom and lab training.
